Josh Ratiani - Pastor
Family:
I married Julie in October of 2008. We have been foster parents since early 2015 and adopted our daughters in 2016 and 2020.
Hometown:
I was born in Hawaii and lived there for 10 years until moving to Sonoma County, so I usually say Santa Rosa is my hometown. After moving away for college and thinking I would never end up here again, I felt God call me back to Sonoma County in 2007.
Hobbies
I love visiting National Parks, gardening, and creative endeavors like making music and photography.
Books
The Resurrection of the Son of God (N.T. Wright), After You Believe (Wright), The Day the Revolution Began(Wright), The Cost of Discipleship (Dietrich Bonhoeffer), The Crucified God (Jurgen Moltmann), With and Futureville (Skye Jethani), Working the Angles and Under the Unpredictable Plant (Eugene Peterson), Desiring the Kingdom (James K.A. Smith), Water to Wine (Brian Zahnd), and any classic literature I can download for free on Kindle.
Associate Pastor - Julie Ratiani
I have served in a variety of roles within our church over the years. Recently it became clear that God was calling me towards being officially licensed as a pastor with our denomination, the Christian & Missionary Alliance, and I am now working towards ordination.
FAMILY:
Josh and I have been married since 2008 and we are now loving life as parents to two amazing kids.
HOMETOWN:
I grew up in Price, Utah - a very small town about two hours south of Salt Lake City. My dad was the pastor at a church called Price Chapel and it was during my time in that church that I began to feel a clear call to ministry, even as a young girl. I love returning to Utah to visit family and the many beautiful national & state parks.
HOBBIES:
I love sports. Whether I’m coaching in my kids’ soccer league, or cheering on all of the Bay Area professional teams, I love to find a way to let my competitive nature thrive. I am involved in the foster care community in Sonoma County and enjoy mentoring new resource families. My family loves to visit national parks so we are always finding a trail to hike. In fact, so far we have visited every national park in California and Utah and many more!
